2019 is turning out to be one of the most successful year for the Indian box office. Surprisingly, Hollywood’s Avengers: Endgame remains the highest-grossing movie of the year with a mammoth collection of 365.50 crores and it will be interesting to see if any Bollywood movie manages to topple such a mighty figure.
While the line up of Bollywood for the remaining part of 2019 seems quite interesting, all eyes are set on the big money-spinners, which could challenge Avengers: Endgame at the ticket windows.
Box Office Battle: Saaho, War Or Dabangg 3 – Which Movie Could Beat Avengers: Endgame To Become The Highest Grosser Of 2019?
As of now, there are 3 movies that have potential enough to take over the Endgame tornado, including- Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Saaho, Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff’s War and Salman Khan’s Dabangg 3.

Firstly coming to Saaho, the movie has everything working in its favour. After delivering all-time blockbuster with Baahubali, Prabhas has established himself as an actor with a pan India appeal. The movie is amongst the most hyped Indian movies in recent times owing to its budget and simultaneous shoot in four languages- Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. The makers have managed to leave a first good impression by including some never-seen-before action sequences in the massy teaser and Shraddha Kapoor’s hot moves plus peppy tunes in Psycho Saiyaan, has just taken the buzz to another level. Also, the makers are leaving no stone unturned for acquiring a huge release for the movie as they rescheduled the release on 30th August, thus avoiding a clash with Mission Mangal and Batla House on Independence Day. Considering all such factors, Saaho is set to be one of the biggest openers and might rake a huge sum in its lifetime run.
Speaking about Hrithik Roshan-Tiger Shroff’s War, the movie is undoubtedly one of the highly anticipated releases. It was in the news since its inception and movie buffs are rooting for it crazily given the faceoff between the two of the best dancers and action stars in Bollywood. Backed by the combo of a superstar and a rising star, War is set to create a rage in theatres. Especially after the surprising teaser, the expectations are sky-high. Also, Hrithik’s Super 30’s success has encouraged distributors to grab this upcoming flick thus accounting for a huge screen count. The major obstacle for War is of Sidharth Malhotra-Riteish Deshmukh-Tara Sutaria starrer Marjaavaan, clashing on the same date of 2nd October, but if the content of War manages to strike the chord there will be record-breaking spree at the box office.
Now coming to Christmas release, Dabangg 3 has every chance to become the highest grosser of the year. The first and the biggest factor of attraction is of course Salman Khan. The name itself is enough to bring in flocks to the cinema halls and the festive season is just like an icing on the cake. The movie marks the collaboration of Khan with Prabhudheva, who molded the new version of the actor with massy entertainer Wanted. Also, franchise and the character of Chulbul Pandey has a tremendous fan base and with south star Sudeep joining in, the value of the project has only increased manifold. In short, Dabangg 3 is bound to shatter records right from its opening day and if the good word-of-mouth goes hand in hand with the star value, the sky will be the limit for the movie.
Apart from these big projects, there are high chances that we might witness some surprise blockbusters like Uri: The Surgical Strike and Kabir Singh. Till then it’s all about the roaring run of Avengers: Endgame.
