Releasing on a national holiday, the film made a hefty earning on its opening day! However, yesterday being a normal working day saw the film’s collections resting in the range of 7 crores, as per early estimates! So far, the film has approximately gathered a total sum of 28.56 crores at the domestic box office.
The film saw competition from the three week old release Grand Masti which suddenly saw a slight pick up in the single screens yesterday. However, Besharam did impeccably well in a few key circuits like Punjab, U.P, Rajasthan and Delhi where it managed to spark off a phenomenal response. Trade insiders suggest that the film lost a bunch of its single screens to other films as it was received with a rather lukewarm and disappointing response!
