John Abraham’s thriller Batla House is showing the potential of staying strong through the weekdays by working amongst its set of audience. It collected 5.05 crores on its first weekday and managed to score a half-century at the box office.
During the first weekend, Batla House may have faced the heat of Mission Mangal but during now, on the weekdays, the movie is giving a good fight to the Akshay Kumar starrer. As per the early trends flowing in for the day 7, Batla House has added another 4-4.50 crores, to take its total to 61.82-62.32 crores. If we compared with Monday’s 4.78 crores, Wednesday has shown a stronghold with a negligible drop.
Directed by Nikkhil Advani, “Batla House” is about the alleged police encounter that took place in Delhi in the wake of the serial blasts of 2008.

During a promotional event of Batla House, John Abraham said that the script of the film explores a much bigger human story, which goes beyond just the controversial police encounter that took place in real life.
The Nikkhil Advani directorial casts John as DCP Sanjeev Kumar Yadav, who headed the Batla House encounter that took place in New Delhi’s Jamia Nagar in 2008.
