The domestic box office is witnessing an extraordinary efficiency battle on Tuesday, September 8, 2026! On one side stands Excel Entertainment’s crime spectacle Mirzapur: The Movie, holding strong on its crucial 1st Tuesday (Day 5). But the divine sleeper blockbuster Hanuman Ansh, based on the life and legacy of Neem Karoli Baba, continues to rewrite theatrical norms on its 5th Tuesday (Day 33).
While Mirzapur: The Movie, obviously being the new release, commands a wider showcase across the country, the efficiency math reveals a stunning trend. The devotional drama, even on its 5th Tuesday, is generating a higher per-show collection than Mirzapur: The Movie’s 1st Tuesday, despite running on nearly 1,700 fewer shows!
Hanuman Ansh VS Mirzapur Box Office
Evaluating the trending Tuesday figures, Hanuman Ansh is demonstrating superior performance across mass single screens and multiplexes. On the fifth Tuesday, September 8, till 7 PM, the film earned almost 7.51 crore across 6,322 tracked shows in India! Meanwhile, Mirzapur, on the same day, on its First Tuesday, earned 8.46 crore during the same time frame, over 8015 shows!

The Per-Show Efficiency Gap
Mirzapur: The Movie, on average, earned Rs 10,555 per show. However, Hanuman Ansh pulled in a remarkable Rs 11,879 per-show average, earning an impressive Rs 1,324 higher per show than Mirzapur: The Movie!
While Mirzapur: The Movie maintains the lead in overall daily net collection owing to its wide screen count, Hanuman Ansh’s ability to command higher per-show revenue in its fifth week is an unprecedented box office feat. The faith-driven momentum surrounding Neem Karoli Baba‘s story is holding strong, proving that deep word-of-mouth can outperform fresh tentpole releases in per-show profitability! And it would be so interesting to see how the film performs in its sixth weekend.
