The Marvel Cinematic Universe has taken the world by storm, ever since Iron Man was released in 2008. Ever since then, the studio has been on a roll, giving out one hit movie after another, and is now ready to release its biggest project yet, Avengers: Infinity War.
A culmination of everything Marvel has done over the past decade, the film is expected to become one of the highest worldwide grossing films of all time, and has generated a lot of hype in India is well. As things stand, it might even become the highest grossing Hollywood film in India.

Marvel films has consistently performed well in India, thanks to a loyal fan base. Even Black Panther, a hero practically unknown in India, was a success in India. So there’s no doubt that Avengers: Infinity War will be a hit at the Box Office in India maybe even overtaking Fate Of The Furious, which collected a sum of 86 crores during its run in India.

However, it will have a tough time vying for the top spot, claimed by the 2016 film The Jungle Book. The fantasy adventure stands head and shoulders above its competition, as it earned a sum of 188 crores in India. The biggest reason for the film’s success was the nostalgia attached to the film.While the film was targeted at a younger audience worldwide, a majority of its audience in India comprised of adults, who wanted to relive those moments with their kids.
Currently, trade pundits predict that the superhero flick will cross the 100 crore mark in India, thanks to the hype. Also, the film won’t be facing any competition from any big Bollywood films during its first 2 weeks in India. However, its chances at surpassing The Jungle Book aren’t very high. Let’s see if the combined powers of Marvel’s best superheroes can beat Mowgli at the Box Office.
