Boss by the conclusion of its 1st week, that includes the extended weekend the film enjoyed, has put up a dismal show at the box office. By the end of its extended first week, the film could rake up only a meager amount of 49.50 crores at the domestic box office so far.
Given the hype and the star value of Akshay Kumar, along with an adequately good response from film critics, most conceded the film was a good masala entertainer. Trade estimates had predicted that the film had a good chance of surpassing the red letter 100 crore mark by now. However, Boss’ illuminated fate was dampened when the film suffered a severe beating due to the ongoing cricket series. Though it began its 1st day with confidence, the film’s good spell at the box office ran dry soon enough which resulted in it struggling to reach even the bare minimum 50 crore mark.
