Though Kareena was stuck with the stereotypical vain roles a la Poo in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham…, Bebo gave some unforgettable fragile performances in Chameli, Dev and Omkara. And if that isn’t enough, she’s also got the handsome nawab Saif Ali Khan by her side!
If winning the Miss World wasn’t enough, Priyanka Chopra had her set her sights higher. But it was her role of the temptress in Aitraaz that rocketed her to fame. Her signature ‘star’ hand wave in Om Shanti Om was probably a sign of things to come for the badminton-player-turned-swimsuit-model. With a dream debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika managed to carve a niche for herself as an actor with varied roles in Love Aaj Kal, Karthik Calling Karthik and Lafangey Parindey. Just like her bindaas roles, DP hasn’t shied away from talking about her relationships either. She was quite frank about boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor but has been seen with Sidhartha Mallya a lot recently.
If there was an award for the most fearless actress, Vidya Balan would undoubtedly bag it. Vidya does roles of such different intensity that you probably cannot pinpoint two of her roles that are similar to each other. If she’s crooning “Gooooooooood morning Mumbai” as Jhanvi in Lage Raho Munnabhai, she’s also the lusty Krishna in Ishqiya. And hold your breath, because she’s coming next as the sex siren Silk Smitha!
