The news that Katrina Kaif is collaborating with her close friend and director Ali Abbas Zafar for a one of its kind superhero film had left us all excited. The latest update about the film is that it is being scaled on a massive budget that of 90 crores. Also, there is also an update on the Mr. India franchise and below is everything that you need to know.

If the reports are to be believed, Katrina Kaif who has worked with Ali in Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Tiger Zinda Hai and Bharat in the past will be playing a female superhero. This will be the first time Hindi cinema will be witnessing a female actor playing a superhero. Going by the same the makers are leaving no stone unturned.

According to a report in Pinkvilla, the film is planned on a big scale and the makers are aiming to make a franchise. Talking about the same a source close to the development said, “The film is being planned on a lavish scale and mounted on a grand canvas. They want to establish it into a franchise and for the first part starring Katrina, they are looking at making it at a whopping budget of Rs 90 crore.”

For the unversed, Ali Abbas Zafar was also planning to adapt the yesteryear classic Mr. India and was also keen on making a trilogy. But turns out that team has put that on the backburner after the makers of the original including director Shekhar Kapur decided to go the legal ways against them for not taking their consent. According to the reports, this is the very reason, Ali dropped Mr India and chose to go ahead with the superhero film.

There is no confirmation as of yet, but the announcement is awaited.
