1. Sadma (Emotional Drama)

She gets trapped in a brothel where she meets her rescuer Somu (Kamal Haasan). Somu, leading a lonely life, falls in love with Nehalata which causes a heartbreaking climax to the story.

2. Chaalbaaz (Comedy-Drama)
Remember Sridevi’s quirky dance moves on Na Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai? Chaalbaaz had her in a double role. The above song’s lyrics ironically defined Sridevi’s life as no one knows where she came from or where she’s gone but she surely made everyone a fan of her through her work. Chaalbaaz also had a stellar cast in Rajinikanth, Sunny Deol, Anupam Kher, Shakti Kapoor and Anu Kapoor.
3. Mr. India (Sci-Fi Comedy)

4. Himmatwala (Love Comedy)
Starring in one of the biggest box office hits back then, Sridevi did attain the tag of box-office friendly heroine back then. In this one, she had actors like Jeetendra and Amjad Khan to accompany her talent. She played the role of Sher Singh Bandookwala’s daughter, Rekha Bandookwala and her performance in this was yet again appreciated by the audience.
5. Naginaa (Fantasy Drama)
One of India’s early fantasy films, Sridevi played the role of Rajini, a Nagini (female snake), who marries a civilian to avenge the death of her spouse who was killed by an evil saint. The civilian is played Rishi Kapoor who fights against all odds to marry his vicious love Rajini.
