Shahid Kapoor To Collaborate With Shekhar Kapur For Next?

Shahid Kapoor’s last outing, Kabir Singh went on to break all box office records and though the film was criticized on many aspects, it had become one of the highest grosser of Bollywood and of course the highest grosser for Shahid Kapoor. While Shahid has officially announced that he will start preparing for the Hindi remake of Jersey, the industry grapevine has been buzzing with speculations of Shahid soon collaborating with acclaimed filmmaker Shekhar Kapur for his next outing.

A certain source has been quoted by Pinkvilla saying, “Shahid has been offered a very high content concept-oriented drama by Shekhar Kapur. The basic idea is there and the project is at a very nascent stage. They have been discussing it with each other for a few weeks now. Shahid has loved the idea and is also keen on co-producing the film. Shekhar, on the other hand, is busy with the scripting of the film. It’s not yet known what the film is going to be about, but it’s most likely going to be a strong social drama, but one that will be commercially viable.”

While speculations have also been doing rounds that Shahid, who is now taking it slow before he signs any new project to ensure that he strikes the right balance between a commercially viable film and good content will be seen in Ram Madhvani’s next.

The film will see Shahid collaborating with his brother Ishaan Khatter as a biker. However, giving an update on that situation too the insider revealed to Pinkvilla, “There’s a lot of back and forth happening on that film. Both Ram and Shahid are keen on collaborating on the film together as it’s an action-packed emotional drama but right now, they are only meeting and trying to alter the script so that it becomes more commercial.”

Well, it looks like for the moment Shahid will only be caught up with the preparations of the Jersey remake. In the meantime, Kabir Singh which was an official remake to Arjun Reddy featured Kiara Advani alongside Shahid Kapoor and was directed by Arjun Reddy’s director, Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
