And despite an extended cameo in Kill Dil as well as Happy Ending, his fans are going crazy about his return. After all, it’s not always you find the return of such energy, enthusiasm and effortlessness in dance. As Mr G, goes and puts up his most excellent show in the party anthem G Phadke, we hear from our reliable sources that Saif Ali Khan and Ileana DCruz were caught gaping awestruck at the legendary icon.
Govinda and Saif earlier had a project at hand, but the two never got doing the film. When asked, Saif with his straight faced look quipped, “We did a film together for Sanjay Chhel, but Govinda didn’t come to work after two days and the film got shelved. You ask him about it.”
But Saif cannot deny that combating his subtle witty humor in Happy Ending, who is nothing like him and adds the desired color of contrast in the movie. Saif filled in, “Govinda is amazing. This is a great role for him which people will thoroughly enjoy. This is great casting. He is a genius. It was lovely working with him. Again, the dance part was brilliant because he has that quality in him to make dance look so easy. It is fun just watching him. There is something special in this dance sequence. From the time he was dancing on screen last to now, the mode of shooting films has changed. The colors are brighter, cameras are better. He is looking better than ever.”
Happy Ending starring Ileana, Kalki Koechlin along with Ranvir Shorey and Govinda is all set to release this Friday. Directed by Raj and DK of Go Goa Gone fame, this time they are all set to deliver a fresh rom com which looks promising from the word go.
