Clash between real life couple Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa has been avoided. Though their Omertà and Nanu Ki Jaanu were slated to arrive together this Friday, there has been a change in plans. While the Patralekhaa starrer will still release as scheduled this week, Omertà has been pushed ahead to a later date.
“Yes, though an official confirmation on this is still awaited, apparently Patralekhaa has let the cat out of the bag,” informs an observer.
Considering the fact that both Rajkummar and Patralekhaa have been quite vocal about their relationship, this development hasn’t come across as a surprise.
“Rajkummar is on a high with his films getting critical acclaim and also reasonable commercial success. In fact just last week his Newton also bagged a National Award. Last year he was seen in a flurry of notable films and this year it is not going to be any different. He is continuing to do a mix of commercial and offbeat films and is busier than ever before. Omertà too is a special film for him,” a trade insider adds.
On the other hand Patralekhaa, who had debuted with Rajkummar in Citylights, was later seen in Love Games. However there has been a considerable gap ever since the release of the film and that makes Nanu Ki Jaanu a very important release for her.

“Though no one is saying it loud, it won’t be wrong to assume that Rajkummar would not have wanted to clash with his beloved film. Hence Omertà has moved on. It is good news indeed for Nanu Ki Jaanu as it would now find all the more attention coming its way,” the trade source adds.
No wonder, the makers of Nanu Ki Jaanu are quite excited about the release of their film and have extensive plans to give it a wide spread.
“The film is also special since it is one of those rare horror comedies to come out of Bollywood. Abhay Deol is in great form and would be seen in a new avtar. With Patralekhaa as his leading lady, it is a new combination at play. The film should be loads of fun,” a source close to the film adds.
With the promo of the film already finding good response from all quarters, one now waits to see how audiences brace up for the film. As for Rajkummar Rao’s much awaited Omertà, it would be interesting to see when do audiences get a chance to have a dekko at that.
