Films On Friendship: My Friend Pinto & Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge

As every year, Friendship Day this year too may have been celebrated on the first Sunday of August – August 7 – but it would seem, there’s another Friendship Day coming in October. On 14th October, to be precise! What otherwise explains that two ‘friendly’ films are due for release on that day? UTV and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s My Friend Pinto, which was to have come alongwith Shah Rukh Khan’s Always Kabhi Kabhi on June 17 this year, was postponed and it is now rescheduled to hit the screens on October 14. Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge, produced by Y-Films, the new production banner of Yash and Aditya Chopra, is the other ‘friendly’ film which will make an appearance on October 14.

Quite coincidentally, Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge, like My Friend Pinto, was also postponed. It was earlier slated for release on August 12 but the release was postponed by two months – to October 14 – when Y-Films’ maiden venture, Luv Ka The End, bombed at the box-office.
