Actress Manisha Koirala, who has featured in a host of hit and acclaimed Bollywood films, has shared a enthralling news to her fans. Undergoing treatment for Ovarian Cancer in New York, she is cancer free.
In a post on Facebook, Manisha shared her happiness at coming out alive from the deadly disease. Terming it as her rebirth, she was overwhelmed at her good news.

“I burst out crying when I heard ‘cancer free’. I still have a long way to go for regaining my health, slowly and steadily. With your prayers and blessings I received during this phase, I am sure that day too will come.” wrote Koirala on Faecbook.

Deeply grateful to her fans and loved ones for their support, she added, “In gratitude for the compassion I saw, felt in so many… my old and new friends, my family, my cancer club members who inspired me with their spirit, my amma, bhagwan (god) and oneness family and you all my Facebook and Twitter friends, it’s your unyielding love that helped me! I call this as my ‘rebirth’.”
Diagnosed with carcinogenic cells late November last year, the actress was first getting treated at Jaslok Hospital after which she moved to America for treatment.
Best known for her roles in films like 1942 A Love Story, Saudagar and Bombay, the actress has once at the peak of her career won massive critical acclaim.
