While there came in a good news with Kanika Kapoor finally being discharged from the hospital, Chennai Express producer Karim Morani’s family faced a tough day. Their daughter Shaza Morani who recently returned from abroad had tested positive for COVID-19. Now adding onto the worry is the latest news of elder daughter Zoa Morani being infected with coronavirus too!
It was earlier being reported that Shaza who tested positive was asymptomatic, elder sister Zoa who showed some symptoms was tested negative. However, recent reports state otherwise, and the Always Kabhi Kabhi actress has now been shifted to Kokilaben hospital for treatment.
A source close to PTI reveals the same as, “She (Zoa Morani) had tested today for COVID-19 and her results came positive by evening. She is in Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, whereas Shaza is under medication at Nanavati. Shaza will be tested again after two days. As of now, the immediate family, house helps are also getting tested. They are all under quarantine.”
It all began from Shaza Morani, who reportedly travelled from Australia and had been suffering from cold and cough. Zoa herself revealed to a leading publication that she got the flu from her sister from the next day itself, and it had continued for the next 14 days. Later, both the sisters decided to get tested.
This comes in as the second case of COVID-19 from Bollywood. Earlier, Baby Doll singer Kanika Kapoor created a lot of controversy post she was diagnosed with coronavirus. The singer had allegedly return from London after seeing her kids, and did not follow the self-quarantine instructions given by the airport officials.
Kanika had also allegedly attended 3-4 parties post her return, and been in contact with around 1600 people in total. 2-3 FIRs have been lodged against this careless act of the singer.
