It all began when reports began doing rounds that the singer attended several parties and came in direct contact with hundreds of people despite during her quarantine period. She broke the news of being tested positive for Coronavirus recently.
While UP CM Yogi Adityanath has given his nod for an official FIR to be filed against Kanika, singer Indeep Bakshi has a rather different take on her behavior altogether. Kanika who later shifted to the isolation ward of a Lucknow hospital allegedly threw tantrums inside the hospital claiming that she was being threatened and treated like a criminal for no fault of hers.
Now, Bakshi who has recently collaborated for an album with Kanika, says she went to the hospital herself and the Baby Doll singer is appalled by all the negativity and comments coming her way.
Coming in support of Kanika, Indeep has said, “When I saw (the news that) Kanika has been tested coronavirus positive, I also saw her post where people had been posting negative comments like ‘kal ki marti aaj mar jae, airport se bhag gayi and all (She should die today, she ran away from the airport)’ I was really annoyed that people did not wait for the complete truth. How can a person run away from the airport like that?”

Further opening up on his conversation with Kanika, Indeep said that Kanika Kapoor vehemently denied all claims that said that she ran away from the airport. Bakshi said, “She told me ‘even if a small proof does not match, you cannot run away. It is the same with corona screening. You cannot run away if you have tested positive there itself’. If she has broken a law, she will be punished, there is no point saying such negative things about a person who is sick. She has a disease, she did not steal anything that you will be after her life.”
