Veteran actor, Rishi Kapoor passed away this morning at the age of 67 due to his long battle with Leukemia. He is survived by veteran actress and wife, Neetu Kapoor and son, Ranbir Kapoor along with daughter, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni. The family shared the official statement in the early hours and mentioned that he entertained the doctors and nurses to the very last moment.

Yesterday Angrezi Medium actor, Irrfan Khan passed away and today, it’s Rishi Kapoor. It’s so sad and almost impossible to believe that they are no more and will not be entertaining us henceforth. It’s like we are going through the darkest period in Hindi Cinema.

According to ANI, daughter Riddhima who’s in Delhi will be travelling to Mumbai to perform the last rites of her father along with brother, Ranbir Kapoor. A tweet by ANI stated, “Delhi Police has issued movement pass to 5 people, including Riddhima Kapoor – the daughter of #RishiKapoor, to go to Mumbai: DCP (southeast) RP Meena (in file pic) Rishi Kapoor passed away at Mumbai’s HN Reliance Foundation Hospital today.”

Mourning the loss of her beloved father, Riddhima shared a heart-wrenching post on Instagram and wrote, “Papa I love you I will always love you – RIP my strongest warrior I will miss you everyday I will miss your FaceTime calls everyday! Until we meet again papa I love you – your Mushk forever ❤️😢”.

This is so heartbreaking to read.
