Might sound messed up but I don’t normally feel too personally saddened celeb deaths. Irrfan Khan’s passing just feels personal though. Wanted and needed to see more of him. Just a whole diff kind of void left for viewers and the global film industry.

His accent, the brand of his humor, delivery, the tone and oonch neech of his voice was just too familiar as a Karachiite. His was a very Urdu-speaking way of talking at times, both in his films and interviews. Quick-witted without losing warmth and wholesomeness.

Irrfan Khan was the one man who made everything watchable. From Haasil to Maqbool, Haider, Piku and even those Syska LED bulb ads, he made everything worth your time. Rest in peace.
