Housefull 4: Akshay Kumar Turns Rapper Yet Again, Ranveer Singh’s Murad Has A Competition!

Akshay Kumar has always been a show-maker, be it in terms of any event, a movie or simply while he’s spending time with his family. The actor is currently stuck with his choc-o-bloc schedule with some amazing projects like Mission Mangal, Sooryavanshi, but the one grabbing eyeballs currently is Housefull 4, and the latest is that the actor will be donning the hat of a rapper for a song in the movie!

As per a latest report by leading daily mid-day, Farhad Samji is to be credited for this as he was the one who spoke to Akki and convinced him to rap for the title track of the movie. A source close to the development reveals so as, “Farhad Samji, who was one of the directors of It’s Entertainment, had convinced Akshay to croon the title track for the comedy. This time too, it was his idea that Akki explores his rapping skills. While producer Sajid Nadiadwala jumped at the idea, the producer-director duo then convinced their leading man to give his nod. The Tanishk Bagchi composition is yet to be recorded. The makers are yet to decide if it should be a solo track or one that sees him croon alongside Mika Singh.”

Action, comedy and now rapping, what is it that this Khiladi can’t do? We had in the beginning of the year seen actor Ranveer Singh exploring his rapping skills in Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy, which turned out to a huge success and now, it indeed will be interesting to see whether or not Akki carries on the legacy successfully.

“Housefull 4” also stars Kriti Sanon, Riteish Deshmukh, Bobby Deol, Kriti Kharbanda, Rana Dagubatti and Pooja Hegde.

The film has faced several ups and downs.

Rana replaced veteran actor Nana Patekar after the latter was accused of sexual misconduct by actress and former beauty queen Tanushree Dutta on the sets of 2008 film “Horn OK Pleassss“.

In October, filmmaker Sajid Khan stepped down as its director after he was accused of several sexual harassment incidents. He was replaced by Farhad Samji.
