Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh tied the knot last year, and soon after speculations began doing rounds about the couple expecting their first baby. While both Ranveer and Deepika are busy and sought after actors and thoroughly focused on their careers, Deepika has often said she would love to start a family with Ranveer but only at the right time.
And now in her recent interview, Deepika candidly spoke about how she looks at her and Ranveer as parents. The Padmaavat actress said she wants to become the kind of parents her parents were to her and her sister, Anisha!
Speaking about the same in her latest interview to Harper’s Bazaar, Deepika has revealed, “My sister and I had two working parents who were still able to give every aspect of their lives, time, and dignity, whether it’s work or being home with us. I really hope that when Ranveer and I start a family, we’re able to do it the way I experienced it as a child with my parents. Just rooted, and wholesome, and secure.”
It was in the same interview that Deepika also said that she and Ranveer have been enjoying each day of their marriage. Deepika said, “I like to say we made the best decision of our lives. I know people are cynical about marriage, but that hasn’t been our experience. We believe in the institution, and we’re enjoying every bit of it.”
On the professional front, Deepika will next be seen in Meghna Gulzar’s Chhapaak alongside Vikrant Massey. While Ranveer Singh has Kabir Khan’s 83′ in the pipeline which will also have Deepika Padukone play the role of his on-screen wife!
