It has turned out to be a promise well kept. When Chitrangada Singh signed a film dealing with sexual harassment, one had wondered whether she would indeed be able to shed her inhibitions in a role that would require her to go all the way when it comes to body play coming into picture. Well, early indications are that she hasn’t hesitated one bit and done justice to the role offered in her next film Inkaar.
“First Look of the film would be out very soon and those who have had a dekko at it vouch for the fact that Chitrangada would be seen in her boldest ever avatar. She has always been confident of her sexuality and that has been on fore right from Hazaron Khwaishen Aisi to Yeh Saali Zindagi. However Inkaar is in a different space altogether. It is set in corporate India and requires Chitrangada to showcase a different side of her,” says an insider.
A hint of that is pretty much on display in the sneak peak of Inkaar that has been made public. It shows an office room setting where an office desk is set as an object for a post-coital moment shared by Chitrangada with Arjun Rampal.
An observer comments, “It is pretty much on display that Chitrangada is a partner here instead of being someone who has been subjected to sexual harassment. It would be interesting to see that on a film which was being publicised to be a take on sexual harassment at workplace, is it indeed about Arjun harassing Chitrangada or there is a lot more to that.”
While it is apparent that the entire set up has a very Hollywood-isque feel to it with sexy, stylish and stimulating treatment, one looks forward to how Chitrangada makes it all the more stirring with her never-seen-before avtar.
