‘Bigg Boss’ No Show In Mumbai: Should Salman Be Worried?

First, the show was headed for a collision with the new season of Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’. As if that wasn’t enough, the Shiv Sena protested against the participation of two Pakistani celebrities in the show. Sainiks demonstrated outside the Bigg Boss sets in Lonavla demanding that the Pakistani celebs, Veena Malik and Begum Nawazish Ali, be removed from the show. Since the government did not concede to the Sena’s demand, the party now seems to have resorted to arm-twisting.

Amitabh Bachchan Beats Salman Khan At His Game

On Wednesday evening (13th October, 2010) when viewers switched on their television sets, they were surprised to find the Colors channel blacked out. Cable operators across Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai bowed down to the party’s diktat and not only blocked the show, but blacked out the entire channel! According to reports, the party has claimed that the blackout will spread to rest of the state by Thursday. However, DTH users will still be able to view the channel and the show. Unless, services are restored, the show could lose viewership.

In the meanwhile, the Punjabi wrestler, Dalip Singh Rana, famously known as ‘The Great Khali’, has been confirmed as the latest entrant in the Bigg Boss house. The wrestler has already arrived in India and even has the furniture in the house changed to suit his 7 ft 3 in frame weighing 190 kg!
