Amitabh Bachchan To Lend His Voice To Disney’s Beauty And The Beast

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan is all set to lend his voice for the grand theatrical production, Disney’s Beauty And The Beast. The actor has lent his voice for several projects earlier, and now Senior Bachchan has been roped in to record the prologue of the show.

The makers of Disney India’s first Broadway – style musical wanted someone to match up to the level and grandeur of the show and it was upon Siddharth Roy Kapur to bring Amitabh on board. When Siddharth approached the actor, he made him listen to the prologue from the original Broadway production and Amitabh readily agreed to do it.

The cast also includes Bugs Bhargava who plays Cogsworth, Brian Tellis as Lumiere, Meher Mistry as Belle, Edwin Joseph as Beast. The production will be in English at 130 minutes in duration. The show premieres in Mumbai on October 23, and in Delhi, on December 18.
