Buzz is that Amitabh Bachchan might return as the host of the television game show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ in its coming season. Though there have been no official announcements, it seems like the actor is all set to get back to hosting the gameshow that brought him back in the limelight in the year 2000.
Based on the UK gameshow ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?’, Kaun Banega Crorepati was first aired in 2000 with Amitabh Bachchan as the host and had people glued to their television sets. Amitabh continued as host in the second season but it ended abruptly in 2006 due to his illness. Thereafter, Shah Rukh Khan took over as host of season 3.
Amitabh is currently in Paris for a special recitation of his father Harivansh Rai Bachchan.
