Am My Children’s ‘Best Friend’, Says Shah Rukh Khan

“I spend a lot of my time with my kids. I’m so friendly with them. I really love kids. I like entertaining them,” Shah Rukh said at the announcement of edutainment theme park KidZania Delhi NCR here on Friday.

“I think the experience that I have had – like I work for almost 10 to 12 hours a day – but after that I don’t do anything. I just stay with my kids.

“Just two days ago, I went to London to spend an extended weekend with Aryan and Suhana as they had off. But I know I’m their best friend. They can speak their minds to me. I live with them like a friend. I have built a confidence in them that they can tell me everything. So I feel I’m 60 percent good as a father,” the “Chennai Express” star added.

Asked about any quality of his children that he would like to adopt, Shah Rukh said: “Most of the time, I’m surrounded by kids and I have kids in all shapes and sizes. One thing that I’m finding in them is that they are very straight forward and honest.”

He also admitted that he had a lot of naughty habits during his childhood days.

“I don’t know whether kids do it today, but please don’t ban me on saying this. When we used to live in flats, two bad things that I used to do was firstly ring the other person’s bell and run away,” he said.

“The second thing we used to do was explode people’s letter-boxes by keeping crackers in it. I remember, we used to live on third floor and there used to be a girl on fourth floor, whom everybody used to like. So once I exploded her letter-box as well.

“After that her mother complained to my father. Than he told her that if I would have seen you earlier then I would have exploded your letter-box. But that was a big stupidity of mine,” he added.

On film front, Shah Rukh will next be seen in “Fan” and “Raees”.
