Ajay Devgn’s directorial film Shivaay is all set to hit the theaters this Diwali. The film stars himself along with the debutante Sayesha Saigal. The film’s first look posters were released recently by the makers and they certainly looked quite impressive but thanks to the references to Lord Shiva, the film has landed itself in a legal soup.
According to reports, a complaint has been filed in Delhi’s Tilak Nagar Police station. The complaint suggests that the new poster of Shivaay has hurt the religious sentiments of Lord Shiva’s followers. Why? In the poster, Ajay is seen standing atop a Shiva carved out of ice with his shoes on. Apparently, this has hurt the religious sentiments of the followers of Lord Shiva and those following Hinduism.
The makers of the film have managed to keep the basic storyline of Shivaay under the wraps for quite some time. With such a legal matter coming up over the poster, we wonder if the film too may have any references to the Lord that may land the film in further trouble.
Most of the film has been shot in Bulgaria. The film is slated to release on 28th October, 2016.
