Vicky Kaushal and director Aditya Dhar gave one of the biggest blockbusters of 2019 with Uri: The Surgical Strikes. The film received National Awards in the category of Best Director, Best Actor (Vicky), Best Audiography (Bishwadeep D Chatterjee) and Best Music Director (Shashwat Sachdev).

The actor-director duo is all set to reunite again for a film titled, The Immortal Ashwatthama. While the excitement for the film is quite high, nothing much is revealed about Vicky’s character in it. However, director Aditya Dhar has now opened up on the film.

In an interview with Mensxp, Dhar shared an interesting scoop about the film. Aditya said, “It’s a mythological character and I agree not much is out there about him and whatever we know about him being one of the greatest warriors is through the limited material available. He was immortal which made him egoistic and arrogant about his powers and that became the reason for his downfall.”

He added, “My point, through this film, is to make a superhero film which is at the par with Hollywood films like Thor, Avengers and so on. The whole idea is that we want it to take the Indian cinema to an international level. It’s a huge risk on Ronnie’s part as we are trying to do something which people haven’t tried. We are competing with the world.”

Well, this project definitely sounds promising and we can’t wait to know more about it!
