Kahaani 2 starring Vidya Balan and Arjun Rampal is all set to hit the theaters this week. The suspense thriller has been directed by Sujoy Ghosh. The music of Kahaani 2 has been composed by Clinton Cerejo.
Here’s a look at the music of the film:
Crooned by Arijit Singh, Mehram is an acoustic number. The song’s musical arrangements are nice but lyrically, it’s not very appealing. Mehram is not the kind of song that will make its way to your playlist. The guitar strumming is the best part of the song.
Lamhon Ke Rasgulle has nothing great to offer. Sung by Sunidhi Chauhan, the lyrics of the track don’t match well with its music. An average composition, it is hard to place this song in a film like Kahaani 2. The only time you will listen to this song will probably be during the film itself. As an audio track, there is nothing here that is highly exceptional or appealing.
Aur Main Khush Hoon is a peppy number that is easily likable. The song’s upbeat nature and Ash King’s vocals bring a certain amount of breezy feel to it. This is one of the best songs from the petite album. Contextually, we don’t know how the song will be included in the film but it is high on recall value.
Kahaani 2‘s album is a short three song soundtrack that does not have anything exceptional. Considering the film’s genre, there could not be much the composer could play around. A 2/5 for this!
