Not War But Sidharth Malhotra’s Marjaavaan To Now Clash With Ayushmann Khurrana’s Bala

Clashes are raining in Bollywood since last few years and the situation is getting out of hand with every passing year. It’s just been a week since the big clash of Mission Mangal and Batla House and now we are ready for another major clash. The first look posters of Sidharth Malhotra, Riteish Deshmukh and Tara Sutaria starrer upcoming Marjaavaan were released today and along with it, the makers also revealed the release date i.e. Nov 22.

Interestingly, this is also the release date of upcoming Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar starrer Bala and hence the clash between the two films is pretty much on until one among the two shifts its release date.

For Marjaavaan, the makers have already shifted their release date from Oct 2 to Nov 22 to avoid a clash with Hrithik Roshan & Tiger Shroff starrer biggie War which is anyway clashing with Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy starring Chiranjeevi, Amitabh Bachchan, Sudeep, Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, Anushka Shetty & Tamannaah in important roles.

Meanwhile, talking about Marjaavaan, director Milap Zaveri said, “‘Marjaavaan‘ is a powerful mass action love story with the highlight being the battle between Sidharth and Riteish. Riteish is playing a dwarf villain and his VFX is hopefully going to be a highlight. Action, romance, dialogues, and masala. It’s a full commercial package.”

Being high on VFX, the film had a rigorous shooting process. Explaining the same, Milap said: “We had to plan every shot of Riteish’s months in advance with storyboards. Each shot needed five different layers. So in effect, we had to film each shot five times! The process was time-consuming, but exciting. For lots of shots, Riteish had to walk on his knees! He was terrific and supported me all the way.”
