Celebrity chef Tarla Dalal breathed her last today. In her late 70s, the food writer and popular chef died of a fatal heart attack.
Written more than a 100 cook books, she was known as India’s original masterchef. A Padma Shri Award winner, the woman brought to food a flavor of versatility that pushed the boundaries of food culture farther from geographic locations.
Her cookery shows still rank as one of the most popular and highest TRP holding ones in television.

Tarla Dalal’s team stated on Facebook, “We would like to thank all of you for your support and affection through the years of Mrs. Tarla Dalal’s career. She is no more with us as she expired in the early hours of this morning. We thank her for all the happiness that her talent has given to us and our families.”
