Mallika Follows Salman’s Footsteps; Has No Inclination To Get Married

For good, bad or ugly reasons, Mallika Sherawat has stayed on to be a favourite with media. She may not be available anymore for ‘rent-a-quote’ talks (perhaps she is reserving it all for her autobiography but more about that later) but when it comes to speaking her mind out, she has never ever shied away.

It may have been a while since one saw her in a hugely successful commercial outing. However Mallika is sure that she is here to stay. So much so that she has even vowed, and that too publicly, that she would never ever get married. Yes, you read it right!

“Now this is one element that she shares with Salman Khan,” says a source close to her, “Just like Salman has stayed on to be bachelor forever and is currently not linked with anyone, even Mallika isn’t seeing anyone, be it from the industry or outside it.”

One wonders whether Mallika doesn’t wish to enter matrimony while still hanging on in the world of glitz and glamour.

Laughs Mallika, “See, one thing that I am really sure is that I don’t want to get married ever. I am an independent, modern, young Indian woman and really feel that marriage is outdated. Moreover, I don’t have any faith in an outdated concept like this. In any case, if I get married, what would happen to all my fans out there and these boys who tattooed my name on their wrists? I am clear and confident about how I want to move on in life now. It is going to be I, me, myself and cinema; that’s it!”
