The Sky is indeed falling for Bollywood this weekend as the Hollywood release Skyfall has taken over every Bollywood movie running at the domestic box office this week. Skyfall had a fabulous opening day on Thursday when it made 6 Crores in India, which was more than any new release’s opening this week. Come Friday and the movie made about 6.75 Crores. The Daniel Craig starrer made 12.75 Crores in just 2 days and is sure to witness a steady growth on Saturday and Sunday.

The movie is doing pretty well at the multiplexes across India. Metros and urban towns saw higher footfall, with South India contributing a major chunk in the box office collections. Being a Hollywood movie, Skyfall is any which ways not expected to perform well in the mass Hindi belts, but metros alone have the potential of declaring it a clear hit in India.
