Good Bad Ugly Box Office VS Top 5 Kollywood Openers: All Set To Enjoy Highest Day 1 Of Ajith Kumar But Will It Challenge Jailer, Beast & Other Biggies?

Last year, we saw a high-voltage clash at the box office when Thunivu and Varisu locked horns during Pongal. After that, Thalapathy Vijay returned again with a blockbuster like Leo. On the other side, Ajith Kumar didn’t come up with another big release. This year, the Kollywood star will have one release, and a few days back, we learned about his one more upcoming film, which is officially titled ‘Good Bad Ugly.’ Keep reading to know more!

Just like Thalapathy Vijay and Rajinikanth, Thala Ajith is another big name in the Tamil film industry. In the past, his films have set the Tamil Nadu box office on fire. If you follow the Kollywood industry closely, you’ll be well aware of the next-level rivalry between Vijay and Ajith fans. There have also been instances of violence between fans of both stars, and a recent example of such heated rivalry was a fight during Thunivu and Varisu clash.

Coming back to Good Bad Ugly, the film is going to be a Pongal 2025 release. As Pongal is considered to be the most lucrative season for Kollywood releases, Ajith Kumar’s film is expected to rake in big money. Ajith’s biggest opener to date is Valimai (32 crores), which will be easily surpassed. There are also chances that the biggie might enter the list of the top 5 Kollywood openers of all time.

However, it’ll be interesting to see if the film gets closer to or surpasses Rajinikanth’s Jailer and Thalapathy Vijay’s Beast. Both Rajini and Vijay possess a strong following in the Telugu-speaking states, resulting in their films earning a good chunk of business from the Telugu market.

In the case of Ajith Kumar, the pull in the Telugu market is comparatively small, and he enjoys a strong fan base only in the state of Tamil Nadu. Still, as Good Bad Ugly seems to be getting a solo release during Pongal, the film might surprise with its numbers.
