Netflix is all set to blow us away with the upcoming season of The Crown. The series chronicles the lives of the British royals throughout Queen Elizabeth II’s reign. Netflix has now released a teaser with snippets on what to expect as well as the season’s premiere date.

The teaser begins Queen Elizabeth II (Olivia Colman) on horseback at Buckingham Palace with her voice in the background saying, “Something as important as the monarchy simply cannot be allowed to fail.”

In The Crown Season 4 teaser, we hear the press yelling Princess Diana’s (Emma Corrin) name, then Lady Diana Spencer. There are some solo shots of hers and some also showcase her struggle with the royals. From the teaser, it is clear that she is one of the main characters this season.

The Crown Season 4 teaser also introduces us to Margaret Thatcher (Gillian Anderson), the former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. The final shot of the teaser is a back shot of Princess Diana in her wedding dress will leave you bewitched. Diana’s chaotic marriage to Prince Charles, their eventual divorce and subsequent death will all be a focal point of the new season.

Netflix also released an official synopsis, laying out the main themes for season four. According to RadioTimes, it read, “As the 1970s are drawing to a close, Queen Elizabeth (Olivia Colman) and her family find themselves preoccupied with safeguarding the line of succession by securing an appropriate bride for Prince Charles (Josh O’Connor), who is still unmarried at 30.”

It continues, “As the nation begins to feel the impact of divisive policies introduced by Britain’s first female Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher (Gillian Anderson), tensions arise between her and the Queen which only grow worse as Thatcher leads the country into the Falklands War, generating conflict within the Commonwealth. While Charles’ romance with a young Lady Diana Spencer (Emma Corrin) provides a much-needed fairytale to unite the British people, behind closed doors, the Royal family is becoming increasingly divided.”

The Crown Season 4 will premiere on November 15.
