La Casa de Papel fans have a lot of questions about the show. Also known as Money Heist, this Spanish show is one of the most loved, most popular and biggest Netflix shows. It stars Úrsula Corberó, Álvaro Morte, Itziar Ituño, Pedro Alonso, Miguel Herrán, Jaime Lorente, Alba Flores, Darko Peric and Esther Acebo in lead roles.
To conduct the heists, Álvaro Morte’s Professor tells his gang members they have to give themselves fake names. However, these fake names are of different cities. But why cities? Why not human names? Why are they named as Tokyo, Salva, Lisbon, Berlin, Rio, Denver, Nairobi, Helsinki and Stockholm? Well, there’s a reason.
As we are heading to the finale season of Money Heist, the makers have decided to give out this mystery. Now, LCDP creator Álex Pina has answered this question in every fan’s mind. As reported by Express UK, it all started with Úrsula Corberó aka Tokyo from the show.

Money Heist creator Álex Pina shared, “We had a number of ideas, with the names of the planets amongst others. Then, one day, someone turned up with a t-shirt bearing the word Tokyo and that’s how it all began.”
The La Casa de Papel creator also joked how the characters would’ve come across funny if they were named after planets. “Try and imagine it if we had kept to the names of the planets and the Money Heist heroes were called Uranus, Mercury and Jupiter!,” said Pina.
Meanwhile, the shooting of La Casa de Papel’s finale season has already started. Álvaro Morte and Pedro Alonso already teased fans by sharing pics from the sets. The makers have promised new villains that will create difficulties for Professor and his gang.
