It came as a huge shocker when Hina stepped out of the show due to her other commitments. Soon after that, actress Aamna Shariff replaced her and is even receiving rave reviews for the portrayal.
In order to get the act right, actors are expected to learn from their predecessors but Aamna Shariff has her own style of preparation to pull off the celebrated role. Interestingly, she revealed that she has not seen a single episode of the show as she wanted to put her mannerisms to the character.
While talking about her role of Komolika, Aamna said, “Urvashi Dholakia and Hina Khan have made the character very popular but I have faith in Ekta and did not want to question her decision as to why she thought I was the perfect fit for this role. Comparisons are inevitable but I will try to make it different. I haven’t watched the show before as I wanted to give Komolika my own flavour,’ reports SpotboyE.
“It’s not easy to recreate such an iconic role. Both Urvashi Dholakia and Hina Khan have portrayed it so beautifully that I can’t take this role for granted. They made the character so popular that the audience will look up to me with more expectations, and I don’t want to let them down. There is a lot of pressure on my shoulders. I am trying my level best to do justice to the role,” Aamna told IANS.
