EXCLUSIVE! Arjun Bijlani On Auditioning For A Part In A Shashank Khaitan Film & How He Wishes To Work With The Dhadak Director

Actor Arjun Bijlani while being appreciated for his acting calibre was also applauded as an anchor of the show Dance Deewane which has Madhuri Dixit, Shashank Khaitan and Tushar Kalia as the jury. In an recent exclusive chat with Koimoi, Arjun opened up on auditioning for a part in a Shashank Khaitan film but not getting the part. But the actor cherishes the experience.

Arjun Bijlani joined Koimoi for an exclusive chat through Instagram live where he spilled beans over many things including his life in lockdown, what he is missing the most, his career and how he once auditioned for a part in a Shashank Khaitan film.

When asked if will we get to see him working with the director he shares a nice bond with on his reality show Dance Deewane. Arjun Bijlani said, “I would love to. Shashank sir had in fact called me for an audition once. But that didn’t work out. But I am sure in the future we will work something out. I really want to work with him, he is a fab director. He had done my look test himself when I went in for the audition. But for whatever reasons it didn’t work out. The character brief changed, they needed somebody more matured and stuff like that. But the way he took my audition, I new I have to work with him, I have to work with him.

Further adding about the experience and how he feels lucky for it, he added, “We got it in like 2 or 3 takes, he was really happy. And I was like so soon? Should I do something else? Do you want me to do it once more? I was so excited. He was like, No Arjun, you don’t have to do something for 10 times to get it right. Then this thing happened, you have look at things differently. When it is meant to happen, it will happen. The fact that 5 years back I wasn’t even close to auditioning for a film. And cut to now I am giving look tests for Shashank Khaitan and there is a probability that you might work with him.”

On the work front, the Naagin actor was last seen in the Zee 5 original series State Of Siege: 26/11. Arjun has been receiving amazing reviews for his part in the show and the actor is happy about the same.
