Tollywood superstar Akkineni Nagarjuna who was last seen on the big screens in Telugu film Manmadhudhu 2, has been in news from the past couple of days following his upcoming Bollywood film, Brahmastra.
Reportedly, the actor will soon be donning the role of a cop in the yet to be titled Telugu action venture. The film will be helmed by debutant filmmaker Solomon and produced under Annapurna Studios’ banner.
If reports are to be believed, the film is slated to go on floors in January 2020.
It won’t be the first time where the star actor will be portraying the role of a cop. Nagarjuna had played the role of Police in his earlier release, Ram Gopal Varma’s Officer which released in 2018. However, an official confirmation related to his character in the yet to be titled Telugu action drama is yet to be made by the makers.

Talking about Nagarajuna’s science-fiction Bollywood release Brahmastra, the south superstar will be playing an archaeologist in the film and has also shot for the same in Varanasi in June.
The film has Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in lead roles along with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, Mouni Roy, Dimple Kapadia, Prateik Babbar in important roles.
Brahmastra is bankrolled by Dharma Productions and it is being helmed by Ayan Mukerji. The magnum opus is aiming for a summer 2020 release.
