Nani’s The Paradise has been the talk of the town lately (at least among movie lovers). With the massive demand for Nani’s action-packed, violent film, the curiosity was natural. But I was not expecting to walk into a houseful show at 10 pm on a mid-week night. And mind you, the film is 3 hours long, which means losing some sleep and yet making it to work the next morning. So yes, the audience has stood up for the team of The Paradise. Now the question is, has the film delivered?
The first half has been about the rise of Nani and his anger issues. He is a man who expresses all his emotions through anger. He is angry when he is upset, he is angry when he is happy, and he is angry when he is romantic. Basically, he is the desi Hulk when it comes to emotions.
Nani has a strong intro scene in the film, announcing his arrival as the massy action star or Sher, as he is referred to in the film. He is brutal as he goes on a killing spree in the film.

Anirudh Ravichander has now given two banger compositions back-to-back with DC and The Paradise. The man knows how to bring elevation to scenes with his work, and The Paradise is another fine example. However, the film is way too loud, making it a sensory overload. So much so that brief moments of peace and calm feel heavenly.
But The Paradise is also reminiscent of previous films like KGF, Salaar, and other Tollywood action dramas that are quite loud with all the emotions. So far, it is a decent film with a solid pre-interval portion. Now, eyes on the second half.
