Actor Norman Spencer, who is best known for his portrayal of the Marvel Comics character Cyclops in X-Men: The Animated Series, passed away at the age of 62. Spencer has lent his voice for Scott Summers aka Cyclops between 1992 and 1997. X-Men: The Animated Series was based on the Marvel Comics characters Professor X and his mutants.
The sad news was confirmed by Spencer’s X-Men co-star Cathal J. Dodd. Dodd voiced the character Wolverine in the series. The cause of death has still not been revealed.
Via an emotional post, Dodd tweeted, “Lost my dear friend and cohort Norm Spencer. WHat a sad day. Norm was the voice of Cyclops on X-Men the animated series.He was a genuine Character and sweetheart. I will miss her you Cyc. sorry about the “convertible” Bub. see ya later my friend.”
