The employees of Marvel Entertainment may have to face the blow of this pandemic as there are reports that the company is planning to furlough its employees. Furloughing doesn’t mean they will be asked to permanently removed, the employees will be put on leave temporarily as their services are not needed currently.

As reported by Newsarama, Marvel Entertainment might start putting people on leave from April 26. However, it is not known how many employees will be asked to leave and from which division. The source mentioned that these employees will receive work medical benefits and will be eligible for state unemployment until everything comes back to normal.

Marvel Entertainment not only involves comics division but also Marvel Studios that makes all the amazing films. So if this happens, one doesn’t know what lies in the future of Marvel Cinematic Universe and how it will affect the production work of the lined up films and series.

Last month, Marvel Entertainment’s parent company Disney furloughed several employees from LucasFilm and Pixar. So, this is the second shut down for Disney.

Talking about MCU, there are some good Phase 4 films in the pipeline – Black Widow, The Eternals, Shang Chi and The Legend of Ten Rings, Doctor Strange in The Multiverse of Madness, Thor: Love and Thunder, Spider-Man 3, Black Panther 2 and Guardians of The Galaxy Volume 3.
