DC Trivia #28: The fans of Marvel and DC have always agreed with one part of the debate – DC films always come with underlined darkness. Be it Batman, Justice League or even Suicide Squad for that matter, there have been elements making these films dark, and no we aren’t talking just about the colour scheme.
The DC Trivia today reveals how actors in the DC films are assigned their personal therapists on the sets. This is to support the mental health of the actors who might not be able to cope up with the darkness of the script.
A DC trivia published in What Culture states, “While making Suicide Squad, director David Ayer aimed for grittiness and realism. He wanted his actors to lose themselves in their roles, so even if they were playing an unhinged killer, he wanted them to become that as much as possible. As a result, there was quite a dark atmosphere hovering over the set, but because Ayer didn’t want his cast to carry that baggage home with them, he brought in someone to help out any of his stars who may have been struggling with the weight of their roles.”
