Salman Khan’s Tiger Zinda Hai is unstoppable at the box office. Leave aside an aberration called Tubelight that neither fetched an opening nor appreciation, the superstar has got back to doing what he does best and that is deliver an out and out entertainer that also manages to pull in audiences by dozen.

Even after the release of Padmaavat it does not seem like the movie will come to a standstill at the box office any time soon. The movie is currently in its 6th week and is still minting money. The total collection till yesterday i.e. 30th of January stood to 337.56 crores which is more than the lifetime collection of Bajrangi Bhaijaan (321 crore).

Tiger Zinda Hai is at the 10th position in Bollywood’s Top Worldwide Earners, surpassing its predecessor Ek Tha Tiger.

Tiger Zinda Hai is more than just a special movie for the cast of the film. It is Katrina Kaif’s as well as Salman Khan’s highest grossing movie till date. Also Salman’s 3rd movie to enter the 300 crore club. Speaking of Yash Raj Films’, it’s their highest grosser ever. Tiger Zinda Hai is Ali Abbas Zafar’s second movie after Sultan to enter in the 300 crore club. This does not get over yet, Tiger Zinda Hai has many more records to its name.

Backed by Yash Raj Films (YRF), the film is a sequel to the Kabir Khan-directed Ek Tha Tiger and marks the return of Salman and Katrina together on-screen after five years.

Made on a budget of Rs 150 crores , including advertising and publicity, Tiger Zinda Hai released on the 22nd of December last year in 4,600 screens all across India and 1,100 screens abroad. Salman Khan has Race 3 and Bharat in his upcoming list whereas Katrina Kaif has Thugs Of Hindostan & Zero.
