On Friday, Singh Is Bliing took a record opening of 20.67 crore for Akshay Kumar and Prabhudheva. Considering the fact that it was a national holiday, the collections were bound to drop on Saturday. This is what happened when 14.5 crore came in on Saturday. This is a decent hold for the film and now all eyes are on how Sunday turns out to be.
So far, the film has gathered 35.17 crore and while it is a given that 50 crore would be crossed over the weekend, there is a good possibility that 52.08 crore record of Brothers would be broken by Singh Is Bliing. For this, the film would have to bring in 17 crore today, which is a fair possibility.
Meanwhile, Talvar held on fine too on Saturday. Since the film has seen a limited release, even 2.75 crore that came in on Saturday were decent, hence taking the total to 5.75 crore. The film has seen good appreciation so far, though it is catering to limited market and is aiming only for metro audience, especially in Delhi NCR where it is based.
Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon, which had done quite well in its first week, did take a hit from the huge release of Singh Is Bliing. Still, despite availability of limited screens and shows, the film has so far brought in around 2.75 crore between Friday and Saturday, hence taking the total so far to 46.25 crore. While 50 crore is expected to be surpassed by end of second week, it would be interesting to see how it holds on in weeks to follow.
