Amitabh Bachchan and Dhanush starrer Shamitabh has done quite a decent business at the Domestic Box Office on Day 1. This R. Balki film, on its 1st Friday, managed to earn a moolah of 3.5o crores nett at the Box Office in India.

Shamitabh performed quite well in multiplexes. Of course, the best circuit that performed better than the rest of the country was South India. Compared to other Hindi circuits, Shamitabh made good business in Mysore, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

The film witnessed a lower occupancy in the morning and afternoon shows. However, thanks to a good jump in the evening and late night shows, the flick could do little more than expected on Day 1.

Shamitabh has chances to pick up today (2nd Day – Saturday) and tomorrow (3rd Day – Sunday), and atleast make a 10 crores opening weekend business!
