Rajkumar Santoshi Gets A Whooping Rs. 15 Crore For ‘Power’!

Director Rajkumar Santoshi is all set to direct a film, Power, with the mega star cast of Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgan, Sanjay Dutt, Anil Kapoor and Ameesha Patel. Take a wild guess what the director is getting paid for the film. 2 crores? Nah. 5 crores? The answer is Rs. 15 crores! Santoshi is going to be paid a whooping amount of Rs. 15 crore for this power-packed film. There will be no profit-sharing on it and Santoshi will be paid the amount over the next year, till the film’s shooting is complete.

Santoshi’s last film Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, starring Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor, was not a typical Santoshi film. But this certainly isn’t Santoshi’s first time with this varied a star cast. He has earlier directed Amitabh Bachchan in Family: Ties of Blood, Anil Kapoor in Pukar; and Ajay Devgan in Halla Bol and The Legend of Bhagat Singh.

Santoshi’s ‘Power’, produced by Firoz A. Nadidadwala, is being touted as an out-and-out action film with the crew of Hollywood blockbuster 2012 being called in to work on the visual effects sequences of the film.
