Anand Deverakonda is busy with the promotions of his upcoming film Epic – First Semester. The censor board has certified the film A for its bold sequences. It is one of the most hyped films, and there is much expectation around it, box-office-wise. The film was initially set to clash with Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna’s Ranabaali. However, the elder brother pushed his movie’s release so that it would not clash with his younger brother’s film.
Epic Set For Grand Opening
Anand Deverakonda’s film opened its advance booking in India on Wednesday, 2 days before its release. Soon after the advance booking opened, audiences responded quickly. In just 6 hours, the film collected 34 lakh in India for Day 1. The Telugu-speaking states accounted for the majority of sales. The film has sold over 20,000 tickets and is likely to pick up pace on Thursday.
Anand Deverakonda is returning to the big screen after 2 years. He was last seen in the film Gam Gam Ganesha. The film was a flop at the box office. Before that, he appeared in the film Baby, which grossed 100 crore worldwide. Epic marks an important film for Anand Deverakonda and is expected to shine at the box office.
Interestingly, the Telugu film releases at a time when Ravi Teja’s Irumudi is taking the box office by storm. Additionally, Karthi’s Sardar 2 is also performing well in the Telugu states in advance bookings. The Tamil film will be released in theaters on September 10.
