The film started with a bang as it opened on Thursday. It earned 14.82 crores gross in Tamil Nadu in which Chennai contributed a stunning 1.58 crore.
The film remained steady on Day 2 as it didn’t show a big drop. Thala Ajith starrer film fetched another 1.17 crore in Chennai on Friday which takes the 2 day total business of Chennai to 2.75 crores. According to early estimates, the film has collected 10 crores plus in whole TN state on Day 2 which is good.

The two-day total business thus goes above 25 crores mark and considering the whole weekend is still remaining a 50 crores extended weekend is the least we can expect. If all goes well, the extended weekend total can also touch the 55 crores mark.
Superstar Ajith enjoys a huge stardom down south. Even before the release of film, Ajithians went crazy and were posting the images comprising huge banners of their beloved actor. It was just like a festive season for all the die-hard fans of Ajith, rooting really hard to catch him on the big screen. It was also learnt that extra shows were added due to rising demand.
