All 3 releases opened to somewhat disappointing shows early morning yesterday. Come evening and a couple of the movies showed some increased footfall in theaters. Mere Dad Ki Maruti remained the 2nd best post Jolly LLB. The movie made about 1.03 Crores on its Day 1 at the domestic box office.
Since it is a film based around North India it was quite expected that the movie will do better in the North Centers. Delhi/UP and East Punjab recorded some decent numbers for Mere Dad Ki Maruti whereas CP & CI was disappointing. The movie might show some growth on Saturday and Sunday taking the 1st weekend box office collections of the same to a decent total.
