Trade circles were expecting a steep drop on Saturday but the film remained steady at 12.59 crores. The growth was hardly there but remaining steady at it is quite a flattering thing for the film. Currently Humshakals rests at 25.09 crores business at the domestic box office.
The film is looking to have a massive weekend number if it either stays steady or shows promising growth on its Sunday at the box office.
Humshakals is now Saif Ali Khan’s second biggest opening after Race 2. Sajid Khan too breaks his Housefull’s opening record with this film. However, Humshakals is made on a hefty budget of 75 crores which will be the challenging bit for the film to be able to earn back its investment and turn into a hit.
So far, the solid start is commendable and will hopefully stay till the releases of next week overshadow the film.
